We have a 1 year old catahoulalab mix she always wants to run she is not a heavy dog around 35lbs but the speed and distance she wants to playrun in far exceeded the smaller extendable leashes we had and just seemed a matter of time until the mechanism or rope failed on those cheaper units failed
