Pros & Cons
Pros
Leash is not cumbersome or over sized. Is incredibly durable and easy to clean (i just use a clorox wipe every once in a while)- it holds the poop bags close at hand if you buy the attachment (which you should - and stop leaving your dog's poo on my l... Read More
The flexi works well with either collar or a harness.
Shih tzu/bijon. I have a 4lb black/tan pomeranian, the neon makes her more visible.
Cons
The length is what really bothers me though. It's a bad situation when you've got the dog on a 25 foot leash, with no way to reel in the extra. The flexi fabric leash is flimsy. Did not stand up to a little bit of puppy chewing.
Highlights
Quality
The lock and tape are consistently durable.
Sturdy and reliable, can take tons of hits and drops without losing its functionality.
Gone are the leashes that lock up and cannot be retracted.
Has never tangled or slipped the lock.
Price
Great price compared to the pet store also!
Imagine my joy when walmart had a version for $7.
$25 for the big one is about half what they used to be.
The value is awesome on the smaller size to learn with a puppy.
Shipping
Update: new leash arrived a couple days after submitting return.
It came in the mail and fells just as smooth and strong as the 1st one.
Packaging/appearance
Got the beautiful blue (exactly as pictured) medium 16' for our mornin'glory.
Not sure if it got packed this way.
But this new order came with an empty box.
That's when i came here and found good old flexi, making them with the lock i know i can trust.
Competitiveness
The flexi leash has far out performed it's counterparts and it is now my favorite gift item to my clients.
I have used several of these over the years, as well as some less expensive imitations.
My current flexi leash has lasted through four dogs - all over 50 lbs, all pit bulls - and i will never choose a different brand.
We have tried quite a few retractable dog leashes from different manufacturers…some cheaper and some more expensive.
