They probably buy the crappiest reel in china and then toss one of their regular 100' long hoses into the box. Instructions with faded photos and ambiguous directions. The hose is nice but the reel is a cheap piece of junk.

On my original purchase, reel was rigid and stiff when reeling the 3/8" hose.

All in all, its a decent reel for the money.
