Pros
They slip a little on the laminate floor, but if you put a corner under the leg of the desk they say in place very nicely. It isn't too thick, but certainly not too thin either, at least for a hard wood floor. Using it to protect my hardwood floor.
Cons
Very disappointing in the downgrade of this previously high quality mat. Would not recommend this mat at all - splurge on a higher quality one.
The mat bulges up because the wheels of my chair sink into the carpet through the mat. It slides up under my desk, and because it's so thin, it curls upward and doesn't stop sliding. Do not plan on using on carpet.
Product spec says this mat is 36 x 48. It could not be rolled up. Not rolled up, not folded in half, but folded in 3 or 4 parts.
Even after letting my couch sit on it for days to flatten it, there are still significant ripples. I even have a 40lb barber chair on it and the chair wont weigh it down. It says it will flatten in 3 days.

You just had to pull apart the cardboard to release the mat.
Competitiveness
I ordered two, one for my desk and another for my wife's.
Looks good quality, however the size is not accurate, its 1inch less than expected in length.

In the end i bent up a tiny bit of the corner and attached it to the desk in two places when attached in just one it would still rotate with that point as the center

The first ones i found at my local office supply store had a big sticker on them that said they contained chemicals which are known to cause cancer

Came in a flat shaped box and was stapled along the edges
