Pros & Cons
Pros
The material is so much sturdier than any other mat i've owned. The warranty is great and it's well worth paying the shipping cost. This is the most sturdy floor mat i have found.
Mat lays perfectly flat once it's unrolled. Works very well on berber carpets. The chair glide effortlessly and doesn't leave wheel pits if it stays in one position too long.
Cons
Mat is too thin and buckles when you step on it. It also shifts on the carpet, so it has to be constantly adjusted.
Highlights
Quality
Very sturdy and easy to roll on
This mat is much sturdier and is still like new after 2 years.
The floor mat started to crack after 12 months.
I’ve had many desk floor mats that performed poorly, cracked, and even fell apart .
Price
I was skeptical to pay more for this mat, but it's been well worth it.
I felt like i was spending $50 a year on buying new mats.
Each one cost about 60% to 70% of this one and has broken apart within two to three years.
For the warranty claim, i did have to pay $15 shipping (it's $22 now), but that is well worth it compared to the cost of buying a new one.
Shipping
Item was shipped reasonably quickly, and i am quite happy with the product purchase.
I got the 48"x60" version, so it was shipped via freight due to size.
Box was beat up in shipping, but the product was fine.
I immediately noticed that it shipped in a flat shipping box and was not rolled up like previous brands i bought which did not last long.
Packaging/appearance
And no frustrating "de-rolling" process -- it lays flat as soon as you free it from its packaging.
This thing came with a warning on the label around it (it was in a box).
Be careful when opening package, as it is rolled into a large cylinder, and resists being so rolled.
Competitiveness
The ultimat polycarbonate chair mat is completely different than any we have used before.
Additionally, it was much thicker and harder than other brands.
I had tried several brands from different stores with no luck.
