On my carpet this mat is far superior to any mat i've used in the past.
It's way better than my previous cheaper polyvinyl chloride mat.
I certainly see a lot of other companies selling chair mats & they're all around the same price, which doesn't seem right to me.
Last time i checked, competition was supposed to bring down prices, not triple them.

The carpet is installed on a medium pile carpet

The carpet is still very rigid that is to say that the wheels of the chair do not sink into the carpet

But after nearly 5 years it is cracked in multiple places is about to come apart so i have no choice but to replace it
