Beautiful, substantial book. Just the book to be enchanted by on a rainy day, or when snow stacks on the window pane and the soul yearns for spring. Amazon kindle service is great.
Exquisite high detail photos on sturdy paper. Thoughtful design and layout keeps you turning pages. Thank you smithsonian for producing it.
Cons
Both times the front cover was ripped along the spine. The inability to use the page turning option and the font is so small makes it a very uncomfortable, unpleasant read.

In addition to the outstanding photography and layout and even though i studied botany at university and have explored plant science over many years this book still has lessons for me in part because it incorporates the most recent new discoveries
