They dont come with a hard drive so you have to buy one separately if you want to record

The software for the dvr on the other hand is pretty wonky

But other then that works great let me expand on the software problem theirs not much documentation auto maintain has 2 setting auto reboot and auto delete old files so the auto delete function doesnt seem to work so with the hard drive i installed i end up formatting the drive once a week which is a pain
