Pros
The le-900 shreds and mulch leaves with a design and ruggedness to accomplish that task. It shreds leaves with no problem, for dry leaves it makes a lot of dust so close your windows and make sure you wear a mask.
Flowtron ler-100 replacement lines last longer than cutting up less expensive *-* trimmer lines. Heavy trimmer string is easy to change--no winding on a spool. Small twigs will go through it okay.
Construction seems flimsy and yet it works well and seems durable enough. This allows you to set up in the garden area you are raking (less waling back and forth) only negative is the way the bucket connects to the metal arms.
Cons
Flowtron's shredder is not suitable for any sort of serious leaf shredding. It takes years for them to decompose into mulch if simply left in a pile. A single twig 1/4 in diameter or a watermelon rind is enough.
For an american made product, it's rather chinesey in my book; the plastic cowling, flimsy frame. This flimsy machine is poorly designed, cheaply made and difficult to put together.
String trimmer with a hopper. The screw that secures the trimmer line spinner is hollow plastic. Why isn't the spin head made out of metal, knowing it will be exposed to heat?
Broken device. Beware purchasing this item on-line.

This is a ood quality product that is light enough to be moved anywhere in the yard.
Think of it like a food processor; pulsing, turn off, clear hay, reload and repeat.
This is my second flowtron purchase; the first lasted about 10 years of intermittent use.

Low cost way of dealing with all my leaves.
The best recommendation i saw here was to buy a giant reel of your own for like $15 and just cut to size.
Overall, it's a great tool for the price.

It does ok on wetter clumpier stuffpine needles if you feed it relatively slowly so it doesnt back up
