Buying these in my lfs would cost 3 time the price.
Fluval biomax is so far the best for value when it comes to biofilter media.

Just needed more for an aquaclear 30 (souping it up with 2 sponges and more biological)definitely more than enough!
I ordered these biomax rings as a back up for the filter media that came with my fluval 307 canister filter.
