It’s super easy to operate and it’s a simple set up that doesn’t take up a lot of room.
Putting the chamber by the flow of your filter will let the co2 dissolve quicker but it never reached detectable levels.

Competitiveness
I bought this as an introduction to co2 tanks after doing a ton of research on more expensive options.
I’ve already ordered refills and paid way less than fluval wants for theirs.
Once this cartridge runs out they make threaded co2 cartridges cheaper than fluval branded which i will get.
I saw a similar set up at petco but they wanted 90 dollars for it.

I struggled when i was trying to fill up the reservoir tanks for the first time because the regulator hadnt actually pierced the co2 cartridge yet even though i thought i had tightened it pretty well

When the instructions say 34fill both tanks with co234 you can tell this by how little water is left at the bottom of each little tank

I found it hard to know what to expect with this step so hopefully that helps anyone else feeling the same definitely do not pay for fluvals 20g replacement cartridges
