Pros & Cons
Pros
The design is inconspicuous and slim with very strong suction cups. Although fluval sells these with the betta premium, which like the ebi 2.
The heater maintains the temperature at 78 degrees. The house is currently airconditioned to 22c or so. Especially if your home’s room temperature drops into the 60s in cold months.
This heater is perfect for my 5 gallon nano tank. It bends in nicely with my tank. I use these in my 1 gallon isolation tanks for my bettas.
Cons
It says it is supposed to regular its temperate between 76 and 78f. Totally ignored its preset temp control. Don't these things have thermostats?
I'm done with its lack of consistancy. It's disgraceful how horribly made they are.
This thing malfunctions and turns off. Fluval wants me to ship it on my own dime and pay for return shipping.
Highlights
Quality
Good heater, and done a good job keeping the water temp consistent.
It actually works, it works perfectly and efficiently.
Very disappointed i run fluval products on all my tanks.
The p50 suction cups suck so bad that the heater simply falls off the glass.
Packaging/appearance
Very nice looking if you have a nano tank will be perfect!
Competitiveness
The final thing i needed was a heater and the p25 was the perfect choice for me.
I've tried a few different heaters for my betta fish and this company is by far the best one.
Although fluval sells these with the betta premium, which like the ebi 2.
