Pros & Cons
Pros
Perfect fit, great price, & super fast shipping.
I use it in my turtle tank and it does the job better then any i have ever had. I have three goldfish fish in a small tank, the bio-load is pretty constant. Fits the u2 fluval submersible, over priced at the local pet shops.
The fluval u2 underwater/internal filter uses a total of five filter 2 coarse foam, 2 poly/carbon pads, and 40 grams of ceramic bio-media. This idea is also why i have gradually replaced my canister filters with simple, hob power filters.
They get the job done, as advertised. Arrived in record time. Worked as expected.
Highlights
Quality
Always good quality, never lets you down.
Easy to use and install and help keep tank nice and clean!
The coarse foam can be rinsed out and re-used, being made of inert material.
What you have is carbon bonded to the filter material.
Price
Very happy with the price and product.
Fits the u2 fluval submersible, over priced at the local pet shops great item to stock up on or add as an add on.
These used to cost like $3-$4 a box but all of a sudden the price just about doubled over the past year.
This is a very good price for this product.
Packaging/appearance
Even though there are two per package, i wouldn't replace both foam filters at the same time.
Competitiveness
I've tried the knock offs and they just don't compare when used in my fluval filters in my turtle tanks.

When the tank is all stirred up following a water change i slip these in my filter to grab the big stuff before putting in a regular filter with charcoal

I only change these a few times a year as my tank is mostly bio filtered making them even more cost effective

If you use it make sure youre pointing the carbon end toward the inside the white end going against the foam pad

If you do it backwards youre clogging the carbon with detritus that would otherwise be caught by the white side

I used to have to buy these pretty often because the older units were thin and the white cloth part was pretty thin
