I bought a pair of the flybird, 25lb adjustable dumbbell for my daughter's birthday(she wanted to take mine) and she loved them.
It feels sturdier than the 25lb version.

The only time it will hitch is if you have not lined up the weights correctly which is great as it will not allow you to use the weights unsafely

Another quibble is that the plates have friction on one of the dumbbells curiously not the other so often times when lifting the dumbbell out of the holder plates that were not selected hang which is a hassle to correct
