You cant do that with a line powered scope, and you dont want to do this with a $8000 name-brand portable!

Of course the input to the scope’s bnc wont handle more than 40 volts delta without an attenuator probe so your input differential voltage cant be more than this but you could hook this up between adjacent windings of a tesla coil and it wouldnt care as long as you had it in a faraday cage
