These charcoal filters have two tiny charcoal pouches that are equal to about the size of a quarter. Inside of pod is just a packet of “activated carbon. Absolutely useless for filtration.

Its very easy and cost affordable to simply replace the filters when cleaning the fountain.

These exact same filters are sold at petsmart for about $8.

The one we bought from amazon were much less expensive and work just fine.

These actually work much better than those the ones the fountain came with in packaging.

The reason i gave it four stars was because it could have been packaged better.
