This is a great hammock and hte bug netting works well even stops black flies

However that netting is non removable meaning on really nice days you either have to have the netting up or have it draped over the side and touching the dirt which bugs can then climb up

My son and dog slept in the car and i slept in the hammock in the trees unbothered by bugs

I strongly suggest getting the mosquito net version if you do not have mosquito netting separate that you can purchase from most army surplus stores
