The machine grinds and dehydrates the scraps in about 7 hours.
The bucket has a lid and sits on the counter odour free during the day, then goes straight into the machine at night when full.
Price
At our current hydro rate, that's $0.
At just under $800 + hst, its expensive, but i am glad i bought it.
In our area, weekly garbage pickup costs $40 a month.

I tried a lomi but it often would jam when handling tough foods ended up returning after its fan died
