Pros

Foodsaver bags do an excellent job of sealing the food and keeping frost off the interior. I use them for both freezing and sous vide and they work well for both.

The bags are made of a thick plastic and it is textured. These bags are great for my elderly mother. I really like my foodsaver system but the inescapable fact is, you need the bags to make it work!

Foodsaver sealers work well to help preserve food longer. Pic shown has 16 large sea scallops in it. This quart size fits 2 chicken breasts or 2 steaks quite nicely. I love home made spaghetti sauce so when i make it i tend to make a large amount.

Bags have a gusseted bottom that enable foodsaver brand bags to stand upright for filling, instead of needing to be held for filling. The bags stand up right on their own which is nice too.

Foodsaver food storage is sooooo much better than the zippy bags. Great for storing large batches of soups and sauces. They can stand-up which makes it markedly easier to fill them. Available in quart and gallon sizes.

Cons

This whole system is unreliable, causing tons of money wasted on the product, and even more on wasted food!

Got these to use with our foodsaver, they work exactly as you would expect.

We'd been using our regular foodsaver bags, but would have to prop them up for filling.

They are also sturdy, unlike some of the knock-off brands.
