Quality and durable. Big upgrade over the original. Get one anyway.
This container is a must have to marinate and i love it. Great for marinating meat or preserving salad. Work great along w the food saver system.
The container is a hard plastic and the lid is nice and sturdy. Absolutely the best container with the food sealer. I bought 4 of them to keep my fruit fresher.
Make sure the sealing area is clean and make sure the gasket is seated correctly. Add a slip of paper towel on the bottom to absorb condensation.
Cons
This is the 2nd 10 cup marinade container that has imploded with a very loud bang. The lid of the container was destroyed. Maybe mine is defective but tried to marinate 3 different times--made stronger each time.
This whole thing is meh. Guess i should have bought the avid armor version.

If you over fill the container it will pull liquids into the check valve

I extracted all of the air out of the container which pulls the marinade into the meat
