Food saver works better than the original. This one is also better at sealing up bags of chips or other packaged items.
It is really easy to use with either precut bags or to make your own from a roll. The bags are easy to write on with a sharpie and don't smudge.
It * out enough air that it really forces the marinade into the meat. This means you can get to the next step of the process quicker. It’s sealed moist meat, dry meat and marinated meats all with ease.
Cons
It's only slightly larger than a 150 count box of gallon size ziplock bags. While it's removing the air, the light fades in and out, then goes solid bright when it’s ready to seal.

Yes, it's expensive, but in this situation you get what you pay for.
Price on this model is pretty high.
Packaging/appearance
It came packaged just fine with no defects that i could see.
Comes with vacuum hard containers, reusable bags, jar sealer, etc.
It comes with 2 rolls of of single use bags, a whole bunch of reusable zip-lock type bags and a separate marinating container.
Because this is bigger and bulkier, it probably won't replace my use of the small one for quick packaging of leftovers.
Competitiveness
I was favorably impressed by the foodsaver elite all-in-one liquid+™ vacuum sealer.
I have another brand that i use for sealing mylar, but our old and steady food saver still gets regular use and works as well as ever.
Foodsaver is now owned by newell brands (rubbermaid, sunbeam and other well known brands).

I like how the machine 34grabs34 the bag then you chose vacuum or seal and then when it is done it spits it out at you not really it just releases the bag and viola easy peasy
