Pros
It's the size of an electric can opener so it's not big and bulky like the bigger food savers. Easy to clean. It is ridiculously easy to use.
This one is my fave. There is nothing to dislike about any of the foodsaver products. Very pleased with this purchase.
Product arrived on time with no problems. This however is the first one that hubby not only uses, but is very happy to use! Now i hope it lasts!
It has to be perfectly centered. I have a countertop system but it took up too much space. I like this little machine because it stores nicely and is very lightweight.
Cons
The sealing gasket (necessary) is unuseable. This one takes up too much room. It's too bulky.

Works with the bags that i use.
I was very satisfied with the purchase of my food saver it was more than i expected, we already use it and work as we expected.
This only works with the foodsaver vacuum zipper bags.
I haven’t tried using the included bags, but it works very well with the foodsaver containers (3, 5, 8, and 10 cups).
Price
The price is right and i feel this is a great purchase.
I immediately liked the look of it and the price was reasonable.
I have probably saved twice it’s cost alone, in cheese.

I do not re-use the bags that i freeze meat in.
I felt bad throwing away the perfectly good plastic bags after one use.
Competitiveness
I thought it was a bargain price and easy to store and much cheaper than the bigger ones.
There is nothing to dislike about any of the foodsaver products i don’t know why it took me so long to purchase one.
Bags will be next try but right now its worth the investment and yes its a older model but see no difference in newer but higher price.

You can’t use it on the marinade container but you wouldn’t want to anyway without a way to switch to that mode

You really need a 3000 series machine for that

You can’t do jar sealing with it out of the box but it wouldn’t be too difficult to design and 3d print an adapter that would allow you to attach jar sealers

Tried it with canisters broke even pass and fail but my handheld model had the same results so not the machine

Easy read on instructions but i was having trouble at the begging i could not get it to properly suction

One of them was the container lid has to be on just perfect for the vacuum seal to work and the other was the little green plastic piece on the inside of the lid that was removed for cleaning need to be flushed to the lid
