Pros
It’s easy to use and more sanitary than the old fashioned ones. It is easy to set up and lightweight.
Right out of the box, just insert the included batteries, then point and scan. Has different colors on the screen to indicate level of temperature. Insert batteries and then use.
Cons
The * thermometer reads 102. It's frustrating and concerning, especially when relying on it for accurate temperature measurements.
As other reviews have stated, this registers 97 degrees every time. Old forehead contact thermometer reads at 100 and this says 97 degrees. Now any perdon temp is 107 and this one reads 97. If bulb thermometer says 100, nope, this one says 97.

I bought this when i was battling some respiratory illness and didnt have confidence in the thermometer that i had which would give me wildly inconsistent readings

Its difficult when you are fighting with a baby to keep still while using the auxillary thermometer its nice to be able to scan them with

Just make sure the skin is dry and free of any oil or lotion it will mess up the reading
