Never had a problem connecting and i could go pretty far away from the camera and still make sure the little one was sleeping in her crib

I had owned a popular motorola baby monitor prior to this unit and it broke after four months when dropped on the tile floor

Mine did break off after 6 months or so but my husband makeshifted a fix for it or you can just lay it on the counter flat if the clip breaks off
