Ive not yet found an updated firmware suitable for this model whilst the foscam site shows a newer firmware for the fn3109h the specs indicate that it cant be used with the firmware supplied from the factory

As it stands i cant use this with chrome i have to use ie maybe the newer firmware resolves this but i dont want to risk bricking the unit by trying it it uses an activex plugin its not a massive problem for me i just have a copy of ie11 installed to manage the nvr

You can download the footage to be edited in movie maker uploaded to youtube or whateveri used a 4tb wd purple drive the purple drives are better suited to use with an nvr because of the alwayson nature with 4tb and 8 cameras i still get a couple of months worth of footage before it starts automatically overwriting the older stuff

Foscam have recently updated the mobile app so i can now view recordings remotely on my phone

I have 4 foscam cameras connected via wifi back to this and installed a wd purple 4tb hdd and its been on and recording constantly now for 6 months without a problem

The only problem as i see others have experienced too is that the firmware states it requires updating and when you attempt this the unit just reboots and does nothing else
