Reading the low rated reviews can be very deceiving. My only complaint is that it is a bit warped.
This organizer is the perfect size to hold our remote controls and misc. This remote control caddy is very attractive and the size is just right for my needs. Great for organizing my many remotes in one place.
The bottom of the casey has a soft covering so nothing will be scratched. The material feels almost like satin. The casey material is a good color and of good quality.
Cons
This remote caddy is a piece of junk. It's completely unusable. Do not buy, waste of money.

I was hoping to be able to fit my phone in the bottom spot but an iphone 7 plus in a case is a big too large no big deal to me but just fyi if someone was wanting to use it for that purpose
