Pros & Cons
Pros
The gold accent is a nice touch and makes my black x-e4 look really sharp. Diagram of the layers looks impressive, so hopefully it really is all that.
Completes the look of zeiss and leica silver chrome lenses without compromising function. Own 3 of these for my lenses.
Mount is machined nicely. Screws on well. Lens cap attaches fine. Slim fit, but screws in securely.
Cons
The 39mm step-up ring does not attach securely to the 39mm filter. When i move the camera in any direction, it rings. This filter comes in either black or silver, which are fine for the exterior rim, but not for the interior rim.
I exercised care when combining the filters, so it's not user error. Not worth returning given the low cost. Went with a hoya pro filter instead for sixty bucks.
These filters are just poorly made. If you push on the glass just a little bit the retaining ring slips a thread and the glass starts rattling around.
Highlights
Quality
The filter is lightweight and seems well made.
Slim, light weight metal, the threads are precision milled and have always meshed smoothly.
I noticed they were degrading photo quality and creating big spots on my photos.
The surface has a yellowish-green reflection, indicating mc coating.
Price
I didn't want to spend $50+ on a filter, so i bought this and its a great filter for the price!
