Pros & Cons

Pros

Used to adapt a 28-80mm nikon lens to a sony nex-7 camera any longer. It fits and locks onto my sony a7ii and all my fd lenses solidly. It's not a smart adapter so it's all manual, but that doesn't bother me as i'm using it with 40 year old canon lens...  Read More

The build quality of this adapter is shockingly good for it's low cost. The machining and finish of it is very nice. I'm confident it will hold up to plenty of use.

These cheaper adapters work just as well in my opinion. Still, be careful not to inadvertently push it in the'release' direction while handling a huge heavy lens near the edge of a fathomless wile e.

The adapter is well made, and fits both camera and lens snugly. The built in tripod mount protects the camera’s frame from the weight of the lens.

Cons

Luckily i have a bunch of spare adapters, which had a black coating on them. Terrible light leak around the button. Return window has expired.

Bad construction. This is unacceptable and quite disappointing. Would not recommend this product.

It's better than what i expected and the price is great!

Don't let the low cost fool you.

Competitiveness

Sure beats sony's version at its obscene price.

Using a sony a7r, i'm a pretty finicky photographer.

The connection between my minolta lenses and the adapter is a little stiffit has some resistance when you put different lenses on it

You’ll have to manually focus on the lens no autofocus here

For 13 thats all you can really expect

The good is that if the lens has a plastic locking ring like the canon 1855mm kit lens or the 50mm 1

But if it has a metal locking ring like my 28105mm omg its a very tight fit

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

So tight that you have to really put a grip on it in order for it to turn and lock

Same with taking the lens off the adapter
