Pros & Cons

Pros

This is my first nikon-nex converter and it is as expected. Used to adapt a 28-80 mm nikon lens to a sony nex-7 camera. Focus magnifier allows me to zoom into small areas to check focus.

Sure beats sony's version at its obscene price. These cheaper adapters work just as well in my opinion. Only con is the pushing the button to release the lens doesn't release it as easily as i would like.

Mounts securely between sony a6500 and a sigma 70-300 manual lens. Auto shutter speed and auto iso make the use of the aperture on the lens what it should be. Nex camera does this digitally.

The adapter is well made, and fits both camera and lens snugly. The built in tripod mount protects the camera’s frame from the weight of the lens.

Cons

Too many people have the issue with the lock pin, so it means the products are leaving the mfg without a quality check. Terrible light leak around the button.

Helios 44 threads in but won't focus, the adapter is far too small. The adapter/lens is sort of attached at that point, but you can actually wiggle it and get movement, so it's clearly not very secure.

Quality

This adapter allows me to check the quality of lenses without owning a 16 mm camera any longer.

This product works as intended and awesome for lunar photography.

I also think (but i'm not sure) that the adapter makes contact with the electrical contacts meant for electronic lenses on the camera.

Again, the quality hugely outstrips the price.

Price

It does the job and at a very good price.

Well-made and accurate at a bargain price

Competitiveness

Fits my a6000 and old nikon lens

Works perfectly for my minolta lenses which focus to infinity on a sony a5100.

Sure beats sony's version at its obscene price.

My canon and rokinon lenses work with no issues.

This is a dummy adapter so there is no power or information being exchanged other than the light to the sensor

This adapter works great and is high quality but be aware theres no contact pins from the camera body to your lens so you wont be able to use autofocus or change the fstop

In that case take the provided allen wrench to the inner metal ring of your adapter loosen it turn the metal ring to orient it in the direction you need and retighten

I bought this after reading the 1 reviews how people were unable to get it off their lens because it was cheap and thought i’d take the risk
