Pros & Cons
Pros
The sony side of the lense slides and locks in seamlessly. It works flawlessly and has manual aperture control (the ring in the middle rotates and moves a pin inside that moves the lens aperture pin) there's no precise aperture adjustment due to no ma... Read More
This has to be one of the most impressively designed 15$ products i’ve ever seen. It functions perfectly and seems solidly build. Not a lot of work and very easy to do.
A snug fit that’s easy to mount the lens and attach to the camera is paramount. The mount comes with a tiny allen wrench so you can rotate the lens in the mount.
Received updated version. The adapter works great. Honestly it does exactly what it is supposed to do. These cheaper adapters work just as well in my opinion.
Cons
Missing a third turn of threading on the m42 side. The other end has no parts that could connect electrically to the camera body. Luckily i have a bunch of spare adapters, which had a black coating on them.
Highlights
Quality
Good product well built and light perfect size.
It’s a good chunk of metal works perfectly with my som berthoit cinor lens.
It has no electronic connection as a result, you can only test its sturdiness and construction.
Screw mount lenses don't always leave the f-stop indicator on the top thus the mount allows to make this correction.
Price
For the price and general use, this adapter is a fair value and i’m happy with it.
I went with this fotasy adapter for a asahi lens due to affordability, i own a fotasy md for my minolta manual lenses as well.
Don't let the low cost fool you.
It’s very cheap and i have nothing else to say about it.
Competitiveness
I used the product to use other type of lenses with different mounts.

In fairness the product does not have proper instructions there is a ring labeled “open lt—gt closed” that rotates maybe 110 of a turn back and forth
