It need to connect the air compressor to evacuate the old fluid from the reservoir. You then focus on loosening the bleeder and handling the tubing and the extractor does everything else.
It utilizes compressed air. The extractor maintains constant suction. It looks like real pro gear. The joke is that you know you're an adult when you ask for socks for christmas.

You still have to get under the car for the filter unless your lucky enough to have a cartruck with a top mounted filter i’ve only had one of those in my 40 years of owning cars
