The * pad is bigger and stiffer than the road bike shorts i have. The leg holes are grippy so they'll hold on to riding socks or leg hair. It's even nice to have the extra padding in the seat while riding flats and climbing.

Fit is really small. It's a shame because the shorts are very nice otherwise. These are a major manufacturing fail.
