Pros

It is enormously sturdy and solid, and it looks beautiful too. Received promptly in excellent condition.

I love that this seems very durable. I sometimes get hand cramps using my smaller pestle due to its lesser diameter.


Cons

The mortar is largely polished aside for the fracture lines. This is not appropriate for a grinding surface. These are gouges in the marble that you can see and feel as sharp fractures.
