It's heavy, but then it is a rather large chunk of rock! This is so thick and sturdy.

After the initial seasoning, it gets nice and easy to clean. Easy to clean and even easier to use. Cleaned with running water and old toothbrush, or small brush of your choice. Cleaning is a breeze.

Price

I got it for a heck of a deal and it was way beyond worth it everything i hoped for and more from my very first petal and mortor

Well a sale prompted me to purchase it anyway.

Packaging/appearance

I read reviews that said their black granite mortar &pestle arrived broken.

The only reason that i did not give it 5 stars is because it arrived with a chip on the top rim due to the less than adequate packaging.

By the way, this was packaged impeccably, in that it was triple boxed and bubble wrapped.
