Pros

Just the right size for grinding spices. Excited to make my first curry or thai paste. Have been using to grind bee pollen into a powder. Good grinding ability.

The design in terms of ergonomics and functionality is quite good. Product is exactly same as advertised.

No issues with durability so far. Beautiful stone, well made and sturdy. Very heavy and durable. Feels very sturdy.

Wow super beau grand mortier en granit. Très bonne qualité et beau. Il est parfait, de la bonne grosseur.

Cons

Do not like this pestle and mortar. Seems more like formed cement. Just washing is off, it reeks of wet concrete.

Morter and pestle are rough ground so it requires a number of practice grindings of hard dry rice to smooth the roughness out

My only thoughts on improvement are that a rubber sticky base would help when trying to mash things like flaxseeds

Otherwise i have to slide it into my body and headlock the stone bowl as i work the seeds into powder like state

So a rubber base might stop the stone from moving around
