This item works great. What a fantastic deal for the price and quality. Some of the reviewers are critical of this item.

It holds about 2 cups and it big enough to crush medicine, salt and paper, make garlic and ginger pastes and curry pastes for a table-sized meal. Great quality and works wonderful for grinding. Easy to clean after the initial seasoning.

This is so thick and sturdy. Heavy duty piece of equipment lol.

Black granite mortar and pestle is the perfect size for our needs. This has a nice coarse sandpaper like texture on the bowel and the pestle. Marble is softer so it scratches easier and absorbs smells.

What a fantastic deal for the price and quality.

I got it for a heck of a deal and it was way beyond worth it everything i hoped for and more from my very first petal and mortor

And for the price, if it breaks, i won't be too sorry to have to buy another.

Well a sale prompted me to purchase it anyway.

Shipping

Received in a timely manner, as always with prime.

But the ones i shipped or found earlier were either too big, too small or not easy to clean and season.

Plus, its beautiful on the kitchen counter!
