Pros
This is the same cloth my mom's partner uses to make lefse. It’s thick but not flimsy. Retains flour to prevent sticking dough to rolling pin.
Cons
These are very flimsy and raffle terribly at the ends. Started to fray while using, very disappointed. They are very small so only fit medium diameter rolling pins.

Flower it and then roll your dough pie or cookie and it does not stick to the rolling pin

You can use it on a floured surface but i prefer to use it with a pastry cloth
