Pros & Cons
Pros
There are lots of more complicated strawberry pluckers available, but this one works best. It pinches into the stem perfectly, and with a twist out the stem and leaves come. It beats your fingers hurting after capping 5 or more at a time.
Cons
This cheaply produced version is so flimsy it can't even do its intended job. The metal isn't even sharp enough to pierce the strawberries. Flimsy, cheap and not durable.
It's not strong enough to pull the hull out of the berries, and it lacks teeth to bite into the hull effectively. The indentations for your fingers is not deep and it is very hard to get the 2 rounded ends together. It slips in your hand, though.
Highlights
Quality

Price

Shipping
I found the 6” cube shaped box a bit much for the 2 tongs i ordered but i guess that’s what they had on hand in the shipping department.
Competitiveness
Easy to handwash as bits of strawberry flesh rinses off easily.
The oval depressions on the pointy ends allow your thumb and forefinger to gain a comfirtable grip.
