Pros

This is just my first time using it, pierced ten eggs though. It pierces the egg without much pressure and works just fine. The bonus is the needle can be locked into safety when not in use.

Cons

When rotated correctly, the pin punctures a hole in the descending egg. A pushpin works better. It gets jammed and does not retract when you push down to punch.

It cracks more eggs than it pierces. It is difficult to tell when the egg has been pierced. As the item doesn't come apart for cleaning, it's really tough to clean the egg gunk off of the piercing pin.

I swear this is exactly like something you'd buy in the dollar store and end up throwing away. Save your self a couple bucks and skip this. It's in the trash.

A nice, smooth downward push gives just enough umph to make the pinhole size puncture.

Against my better judgement, and the thought of having another unused gadget in a drawer, i bought this based on reviews.

The shell just falls off your hard boiled eggs without having to soak them in ice water.
