I believe the previous reviewers who complained about this being the wrong pan and it did used to be mislabeled as a french bread pan were looking to make a flute or batard style loaf

If you are making batard or flute i recommend using the 34chicago metallic commercial ii nonstick perforated french bread pan34if you are making ficelle this should work 34focus foodservice commercial bakeware 6 count 26inch perforated baguette pan

Ficelle is meant to be eaten as soon as it is cool enough whereas baguette are meant to be able to last a few of days without becoming too dry

I prefer my baguette to be 234434 wide and a good fucille is never more than 234
