Pros
The elephant trunk leads to a separate chamber in the bottom. There is a a rubber stopper on the bottom that covers the opening where you can dispose the trash.
Using it for a pistachio bowl/shell discard. Chuting down the pistachios slows me down, but this is an added feature.
Fred and friends just gets me and my need for kooky kitchen items. I find it great to fill with crackers, nuts or popcorn and can go with me where ever i settle to read my books. A fun addition to a bar top/snack tray.
The whimsical elephant shape is fun yet functional. It adds height and an element of cuteness.
Cons
But it has some imperfection in the surface, looks like cheap quality.

The only negative is the diameter of the trunk hole is somewhat narrow

The empty shells are dropped into the elephant’s trunk and when finished snacking the shells are emptied by removing the rubber plug underneath
