The second half which does not appear in the film could have been tightened as the emphasis is only on the attempt to kill gandhi and this was too detailed

The tragedy and intensity of partition pours off the pages and it is so pointless to be judgmental and critical in hindsight when a path had to be found through such strong and immovable views from leaders wanting to steer the future
