The heater heats the water up pretty quickly, within a few hours. The dial is a little tricky but once you find the temp you want, it stays there consistently. The temperature gauges let me check that they are all working at a glance.

I wish i sent it back sooner, but it's too late. Be careful about the thermometer readout.
It is too hard to adjust temp. The knob turns hard. It's a little too warm for betta and cherry shrimp.

Ordered this for my betta’s 10gallon tank because he seemed sick and my first thought was that his tank was too cold
