Pros
It is enormously inspiring when a company owns up to its mistake. Incredibly yummy. Must try out.
Jax is the perfect salt. Works great in guacamole. Great on eggs, vegetables, anything really, it's good.
Blend of habanero, cayenne pepper, and ghost pepper. Habanero is the 4th ingredient. No preservatives, same great flavor.
Cons
It is more powdered than minced dried and it is mostly seeds. Would have returned if returnable, as way too salty - overpowering toasted onion flavor.
This smells like roasted meat. Hubby says it smells like grains. Ortega probably has more of a distinct taste than this did.

I have tried several of the freahjax spices, including authentic greek, bold bayou, and authentic taco.
Which was a shame as it was a delicious blend, unlike all their other italian seasoning blends which are nothing to brag about.

I ordered it and was dismayed when the label contained a tiny warning about containing peanuts and treenuts.
