Pros & Cons
Pros
Love this addition to my existing router bit set. The bit is sharp and cuts cleanly. This is one of those bits where it changes the game as the only other alternative is to manually carve the wood.
Highlights
Quality
Freud products have always been durable, long lasting and perform well.
It cuts clean and the bearing runs smooth.
I've owned this bit for a few months and have found it to bewell balanced and smooth cutting.
Bit was very sharp, it did not burn the wood and i made the tray out of white oak.
Price
Sometimes you just can't afford the cheap stuff.
And cheaper than ones from woodworking sites.
Competitiveness
I had purchased the same size cutter in another brand with a 1/4" shank and it bent.
I've used dish carving bits (w/ top bearings) from both eagle america & cmt.

The problem with this bit is that theres a full 1434 gap between the blade and the bearing

This means you will need at least 1 1834 thick wood at minimum as you need at least half the bearing to use
