Pros & Cons
Pros
Use to drill for my birdhouses. Works on oak as well as soft woods without tearing or galling. Cut holes for my european/cup hinges on my kitchen cabinet doors into pine.
These are awsome and way affordable. Pricey but essential tool for fret board inlay dots.
Cons
The bit has not been properly machined or deburred. As mentioned in many other reviews, received a diablo bit made in austria. Fie on the seller for offering this as freud.
Highlights
Quality
The quality of the bits and the storage box.
Seller product labels placed directly on product case.
While these got me through the job i will keep looking for a better quality tool.
Cut quality wasn't bad for hand drilling, i kept it 90 to the cutting surface and didn't drill too fast.

I made a jig using this bit out of a 1 inch thick piece of wood i dont think that it would be possible to drill a 218 inch hole 14 inch deep free hand

I was surprised to get diablo and almost returned them but then i saw they were actually a division of freud

The grind was a bit coarse and after 100 holes one got dull but still was making good holes
Posted by a reviewer on Amazon
Even the original freud was getting rolled cutting edges so i saw no difference in steel material used in the bits
Posted by a reviewer on Amazon
Even the grind was the same on both a bit coarse and unfinished
