If you think the price is too steep, you can do the same task with a good flat tooth blade as well, but might as well just get the set.

From the people that are complaining about the description being off on the packaging for how thick the cuts will be, you should always cut on a test piece anyway, so i don't see the big deal.  Read Less

Not a deal breaker but worth mentioning, arbor shims could possibly correct issue assuming all center holes were the same exact diameter.
