The bumpiness of the pickle actually makes a great grippy handle, way better than if it was smooth, which might slip easier.
Probably ok on one of those annoying knives with the all metal handle that get very slippery when wet.

The pan that we use it on has a silicone handle that comes off so we replaced that handle with the pickle

One instant drawback is that the pickle doesnt allow you to hang the pan so if thats your storage method this is not going to work

My other observation is that the pickle because of the shape doesnt fit on the handle as snugly as does the original handle

If i were looking for something not funny and purely functional though id like something a little bit smaller so it fits more snug and id like a hole in the end so i can hang my pan up with it on
