Pros & Cons
Pros
Easy to install. Easy to remove and install yourself. Much cheaper than going through a local repair guy. Much louder than the old part but it’s not terrible. Louder than the previous valve.
Cons
This water fill valve is not a replacement for a kenmore fridge ice maker sa8868. The male thread is a size too small.
Highlights
Quality
After the adapter was installed, the product works as expected.
Worked perfectly to replace the input valve on my frigidaire frs26zrgw2 that came with the house we bought.
Worked but did not resolve my refrigerator problem with the icemaker.
Anybody can do it with the simplest of tools.
Price
I went to sears and this same part was selling for $40 more in price.
Packaging/appearance
Excellent packaging to prevent any damage during shipment.
I bought this because my old one broke when trying to move the frig.
Competitiveness
This one was the perfect replacement and 1/3 the price of the local dealer.
Water dispenser and ice maker weren't working.
