Pros & Cons
Pros
This unit comes with quick dis connect for the lines. Good seller and product.
Swapping it out was very easy. Youtube videos show how to swap them out. Stressed over the thought of installing it myself.
The drip from the water dispenser is gone. The only thing i've noticed is that it's much noisier compared to the one my fridge came with. Ice maker & water dispenser works again.
Cons
The valve i was replacing has threads. Very poor quality. Water inlet valve quick connects are garbage.
Highlights
Quality
This part is well built and is really plug and play.
Easy to install and does the job.
The old one had screw on connections and the new one is a press in style like those pex shark bite connectors.

Price
Nice way to save around $300 not having to hire an appliance repair person to do the job.
Was exactly what i needed and cheaper than lowes home improvement which is where i bought the fridge from
Even at half the cost, if it doesn't work no amount of percieved savings is justified.
Spending about $27 extra for genuine branded part, priceless.
Shipping
Works as promised, no complaints, shipped timely, would purchase again but sure hope we don't have to!
Hubby ordered this part which came very quickly.
Competitiveness
There are off brand versions of this part available for a bit less but i have been down that road before and it was not worth the hassle.

So pay the extra money for peace of mind and not to worry about a part that will stop working in a couple of months

My 14 year old frigidaire with ice maker and water dispenser was developing a mass of ice in the bottom of the freezer compartment

Based on its design i determined that the only two parts that could be responsible for excess water in that side were either the solenoid valve array this part andor the ice maker

While i knew the ice maker was just as likely to have been the problem we also had a slight slow 56 drops per day drip from the nozzle of the water dispenser so replacing the solenoid valve array was the obvious first step

We trimmed about 3434 of hose with a sharp utility knife before reattaching hoses so the orings in the hose sockets would have a clean smooth surface to engage

Other than that step it was a plugandplay replacement process

The ice is reforming still though at a much slower rate which tells me i also need to replace some ice maker components or the entire unit whichever is more economical but that isnt a big surprise since the same sedimentscale accumulations that eventually degrade the solenoid valves in this part are simultaneously degrading the ice maker over the same time period at the same rate
